I Know What to do with This!

I guess Eliza will be known as our most technology-savvy child. She loves to pick up anything with buttons and pretend it is a cell phone. It is amazing what kids can learn from observing their families. I can tell I will have to limit her TV time!

Fun in the Snow (NC snow that is!)

Okay, so I write the post about Idaho snow and what happens?

It snows more snow here in North Carolina than they've seen in about 10 years!!! March 1st and 2nd were landmark days here in the piedmont triad area. We got about 6 inches of snow; it looked so beautiful. The kids were out of school for 2 1/2 days, so they had tons of fun outside. Check out the pictures!

Is it any wonder that Eliza is barely edging 20 pounds?! Check out her diet and you'll see what I mean:) Okay, whipped cream is a good fat booster, right? But I don't think that dirt or snow will add much weight. And I'm positive that the plastic piece of cake is a whopping zero calories! If you have any advice to give to fatten our little girl up, send it my way. I'm open to suggestions!

Fun in the Snow (Idaho snow that is!)

In February, we journeyed to Idaho for David's mother's funeral. Of course, they still had plenty of snow! We were able to spend a day in Island Park playing on the snowmobiles. It was a blast! The kids had big smiles and red cheeks, while David and I enjoyed the speed. But we won't be purchasing a snow machine anytime soon. North Carolina doesn't have the same quality or quantity of white stuff!

Christmas in North Carolina

Our family spent Christmas at home this year and was able to make some fun memories. David was off work for 2 weeks; it was wonderful to have him with us. On Christmas Eve, we acted out the story of the birth of Christ and opened one gift each (pj's, of course!). The next morning we found what Santa brought and opened presents. It was a fun day for everyone, and the weather was so nice that Rachel even got to try out her Heely's.

What a Cutie!

We have a little princess living in our home; her name is Eliza. She is totally loved and spoiled by her whole family. We love to take pictures of her and thought we'd include some of the best ones here. She finally learned how to walk near the end of December and has been going strong ever since. Her favorite thing to do at this time is stand on the fireplace and "dance." Maybe I can figure out how to include some video of her dancing. It's priceless!

Thanksgiving with the Cousins

We were lucky enough to have Uncle Eric, Aunt Gaby, and their two boys come and visit us for Thanksgiving this year. It was so good to have them here and share some fun experiences. We had great weather while they were here, so McKenna, Sean, and Patrick headed outside to build a fireplace in our front yard. They had a blast doing it and managed to create a wonderful fireplace. Oh, what imaginations children have!

McKenna also had the opportunity to be Pilgrim Faith in her second grade Thanksgiving play. She and her classmates told the story of the first Thanksgiving and all that they were grateful for. They also sang a wonderful song of gratitude. She is a talented performer.
